Contemplation For Everyday Living

Below are resources for you to use so you can sharpen your contemplative spiritual practice. My quest for God became more open, free, and safe when I let go of trying to "get it right". When my relationship with God became less about the right answers and more about the possibilities, wondering, and discernment, there was a lot more movement. I most literally felt like I could take a breath. I could be who I was an be fully accepted right where I was. I could have purpose, meaning and I could matter even if I was out on a walk, smelling a flower, looking up at the sky and saying thanks, or simply laying on the sofa, doing absolutely nothing.

These resources are really practices for you while you're on your journey into a more spiritual life. They should help bring you into a moment with yourself and hopefully, you'll sense God there too. Whether you are rediscovering or first discovering, I think you'll find the downloads relatable. The spiritual way is always, "the other way".

Here, we are looking for that other way. The option that doesn't tell us what to do, the option that doesn't give us the answer and say, "No, that is wrong." Spirituality to me is about finding a breathing space with God where I can learn to be. This space then opens up a place for me to think and feel in ways I never have before. That is the beauty of Spiritual Direction and contemplation.

You will find spiritual practices, meditations, and poetry here.
